Baling Wire
Baling wire is used in the Recycling Industries to bale waste products into safe transportable bales which may then be moved by grab trucks and loaded onto curtain side vehicles for onward movement to paper mills for re pulping for newsprint or to docks for loading onto deep sea vessels.
Baling machines may be small hand tie machines producing 250/300 kilogram bales to large fully automated tying machines which are capable of producing bales weighing 1000 kilograms which are generally for container loading for export.
Black annealed baling wire is sold in both low and high tensile specifications and may be in Cut and Looped configuration for hand tying or in rewound coils or bulk supply on Formers which are both used on automatic tying machines.
Some specialised baling machines use High and medium tensile Galvanised wire where difficult products are baled such as high density plastic waste.
Annealed wire in coils and straight lengths is supplied to the galvanising industry for use as suspension wires.
See 'Quiklink' for alternative baling uses.
