Caparo Wire is a PPC (Prevention and Pollutions Control) registered company with the Environment Agency and as such has a high standard of confrol over environmental issues. The company's desire to continuously improve has resulted in achieving ISO 14001 accreditation in 2005 and our environmental policy prescribes the following objectives:

• Prevent pollution that may occur as a result of our activities;
• Ensure that we comply with all relevant environmental legislation and other applicable requirements as a minimum;
• Continually improve our environmental performance in areas of potential impacts on the environment.

We intend to reduce our environmental impacts through improvements to:

• Reduce consumption of water for process uses;
Reduce the consumption of energy;
• Improve process waste disposal systems;
• Reduce emissions to air of hydrochloric acid through improvements in relevant plant and equipment
