Duncan Dorward

Finance Director

Duncan graduated with an Honours Degree in Physics from Oxford University and is a Chartered Management Accountant by profession with an MBA in 1995 from the Open University.

Having spent 16 years in the clothing and knitwear industry in the Scottish Borders he joined BICC Pyrotenax as Financial Controller in 1986. In 1994 he was appointed Financial Director of the Metals Division of BICC Cables and later took responsibility for its restructuring and development of the Prescot Copper Rod Mill and the transfer of Wire Operations to the same site. In 1999 he moved to the Energy Cables operation in Wrexham and restructured the finance function following their takeover by Pirelli Cables.

In 2005 Duncan joined Caparo Wire as Finance Manager to develop the accounting functions incorporating the newly acquired Fairbright works and was appointed Finance Director on 1st September 2008.
