Phill Earl
Managing Director
Phill began his career as a Metallurgist with Corus in Scunthorpe, gaining valuable experience in most departments of an integrated Iron and Steel works. He later moved into Technical Sales with ASW’s wire rod mills, developing products and processes to meet various produce sector demands.
In 1987 he joined Caparo Wire as Sales Manager initially working in the UK market and later, as Sales Director, he lead the expansion into European export markets.
1996 saw Phill join Carrington Wire as Group Export Sales Director and following the rapid growth in export sales for Carrington’s new plant in Elland Yorkshire, Phill was appointed as Managing Director for Carrington’s Cardiff Wire plant in 1999 and in 2001 took responsibility for their larger Warrington operation. During his time with Carrington Phill also gained his Masters degree in Business Administration. In 2005 Phill spent 2 years working as a consultant to the wire industry, before joining Avdel UK Ltd to set up and develop their UK Distribution business.
In June 2008 Phill returned to Caparo Wire as Managing Director primarily to develop new markets and products for this continuously expanding steel group.
